Though I really didn’t celebrate Halloween this year, like went to the cemetery or go to a Late Isabel gig, I found myself still at the essence of it. Sure many know me for the black attire and morbid stuff, but in ways I can’t imagine, i still get noticed still in one way or another when it’s Hollow’s eve, just by sitting at home and surfing the net. I don’t mean to brag, but the day of the dead is really a perfect day for someone with interests like me, and for people like me. It only comes once a year so I think I should do my best to make something out of this dark day.

This is somewhat related and if you like blood it spreads like hell. In this first person point of view when I recently got stabbed at the back by one of the three muggers that ganged up on me last October 4, 2006. This is my experience on the whole ordeal of having to fight for my life at the same time running home bleeding to death, this was really serious and I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Even in the rising of dawn, any dark minded individual can produce artworks that emits the smell of death. For every good, there is evil, for every yin, there is a yang and for every light, there is the darkness. I took the opportunity to capture death’s essence to these three photos.

+ Hindi Siya Nagreklamo +

I add this oil painting of mine entitled, Hindi Siya Nagreklamo for the celebration of the Dark Halloween, and it was luckily noticed by and adds it to the November 1st Daily Deviation. Truly something I am really not worthy of. The Painting is about pain and suffering, most people would think it is gory, but I think of it as splendid, to endure the lashing of many, is to show how you are determined and focused you are in what you want and love. This painting was a portrayal of Jesus Christ after being Lashed. Just in between the time for Halloween and Christmas.

This painting was an entry for the National Shell Art Competition 2006, which last year I got lucky with my painting and had been chosen to be a finalist, +Hindi Siya Naunawaan+ [link] and by which this year I didn’t even made it to the top 100 finalists. The location of the painting is still at the SHELL Art house, and still unclaimed, but my girlfriend EiYa took a photo of it with her W800i before we finally submitted it. and the feeling of Being a Daily Deviation is really awesome and overwhelming. It is truly a great gift for the dark days.

The day of the dead is at its end and these few days loaned for the resonation of a late person is a very awesome idea that has lasted for centuries. And for these few days, people like me do something more, it is our calling to do something extraordinary, since we appreciate the necromancy of life. Thanks for being a part of my share of Halloween. Be here next year for more of this stuff, well actually, just come back tomorrow or any day for that matter and you’ll end up finding more.
